    seems reasonable. However I can think of an alternative to first melting snow into a liquid, sublimation. A mechanical vacuum pump can easily produce a vacuum 0.006 atm which would bring the ice to the triple point where the ice would transform into vapour directly without going through the liquid phase. A broad mouth to a tube clamped over the ice and the tube connected to a vacuum pump. The ice could be removed as vapour into the air. Depending on the temperature this may freeze again as snow but at a different location.

    I remain a sceptic over the true value of LLMs. As author concerned with producing original creative output, the use of LLMs has been some help with research but it very quickly reaches a wall of usefulness when it comes to examining abstract issues with it.     THIS IS THE ENTIRE POINT!!!! It's not about letting AI's conclusions replace critical thinking (which is constantly happening with models like Grok by ignorant people on YouTube, X, and other platforms), it's about SUPPLEMENTING critical thinking using AI. This is one of the things I love about NotebookLM because it does the grunt work of textual/data analysis that I can then use to focus on other issues.
