India -Although government mental health services exist, access is limited in many areas, leading many people to pay for private treatment. South Africa -Basic mental health services are available in the public sector, but long waiting lists and shortages of specialists often lead people to seek costly private care. According to (WHO)more than 720,000 people die by suicide every year worldwide. Suicide is one of the leading causes of death among people aged 15-29 years. It is estimated that more than 75% of global suicides occur in low- and middle-income countries, where access to mental healthcare is often limited.
